On the evening of Friday, November 3rd, West Lodge Park will be the stage for a remarkable event – a Rhone Gourmet Evening. This exclusive gathering promises to be a celebration of the cuisine and wine of the Rhone Valley. Guests can look forward to a themed five-course gourmet dinner, each course paired with a specially selected glass of wine. The evening will be dedicated to showcasing the wines of ‘Ferraton Pere & Fils,’ a name synonymous with excellence in the world of Rhone Valley wines.
Ferraton Pere & Fils is one of the most exciting houses in the region, working closely with the renowned Chapoutier family and embracing the principles of biodynamic farming. The result is a portfolio of wines that have garnered numerous accolades. To be precise, five of their wines have achieved a remarkable 95 points from ‘Wine Spectator,’ and nine more have earned 93 points or higher from ‘The Wine Advocate’ and ‘Wine Spectator.’
Samuel Ferraton, the artisan winemaker behind this exceptional label, represents the perfect fusion of traditional winemaking and modern techniques. He has seamlessly blended the wisdom of the old world with the innovation of the new, creating wines that are not only a testament to the region’s heritage but also a vision of its future.
What truly sets Ferraton’s wines apart is their minimalistic approach to winemaking. The wines are bottled un-fined and unfiltered, allowing the true essence of the Rhone Valley terroir to shine through. The resulting vintages are a genuine reflection of the land, the climate, and the passion that goes into every bottle.
The evening promises more than just fine wine; it’s also culinary journey that enhances the experience. Each course of the gourmet dinner is thoughtfully paired with a different Ferraton wine, showcasing the flavours and the incredible diversity of the Rhone Valley.
